Eric Nichols
Senior Pastor
Pastor Eric has been serving the Preakness Reformed Church since May of 2011, and appreciates the sincere welcome, kindness, and compassion of the congregation. He leads the congregation in worship and preaching, leads the Consistory (the governing body of the church), offers pastoral care, and oversees the PRC staff as well. Eric is also currently serving on the General Synod Council, the executive board for the denomination of the RCA. He is originally from the state of Michigan but has been living in North Jersey since 2003. Eric and his wife, Kylee, have 4 children and a son-in-law.
Kim Pavlovich
Associate Pastor
Pastor Kim has been serving the Preakness Reformed Church since March of 2022 as the Associate Pastor. Kim enjoys the loving, wholehearted, and faithful people that she has found at Preakness. She assists the ministry in many different ways, including leading the congregation in worship, preaching, teaching, organizing the children's and youth ministries, and pastoral care. Pastor Kim serves the denomination as a member of the Commission for Christian Unity. Kim and her husband, Davor, and all their children, have lived in NJ since 2016.


Mary Marcus
Reverend Emeritus
Rev. Mary L. Marcus grew up in Phillipsburg, NJ. Mary graduated from Drew University and from Princeton Theological Seminary. After over a decade of ministry positions in Presbyterian Churches, Pastor Mary was hired by the Preakness Reformed Church in the spring of 1989. Pastor Mary was a leader for the congregation’s Christian Education Program, Youth Ministries, and Pastoral Care for over 32 years. Upon her retirement on November 21, 2021, the Consistory and the Classis of Passaic Valley bestowed upon Mary the title of Minister Emeritus. Pastor Mary is enjoying her retirement along with her husband, Mark.
