Age 4 through 5th grade

Meets on Sundays during worship from Sept to June

Our Sunday School program is designed to nurture the spiritual growth of children within the church community. Classes cover a range of biblical lessons through storytelling, arts and crafts, and discussion, and the children are encouraged to take part in special charitable efforts.

Grades 6-12

Meets twice a month from Sept - June

Our Youth Group serves as a supportive environment for young people to explore and deepen their spiritual beliefs as they grow in their relationship to God.  The program also helps them apply the teachings of Jesus into their daily lives by emphasizing the importance of character, compassion, empathy, and kindness.  Youth members are invited to become active members of the church, with increased involvement in worship-related events and through outreach and fundraising opportunities.

Faith in Action

The Preakness Reformed Church youth participate for one week every summer in the Risingville Intercommunity Service Effort in upstate NY.  The R.I.S.E. mission repairs homes for those whose living conditions are unsatisfactory and who cannot help themselves due to physical and/or economic inability.  The program has three goals:  to be in mission to those we serve, to act out our faith, and to learn about ourselves how we can love our neighbors.

R.I.S.E. fosters faith and teamwork by uniting participants in a shared mission as they make a transformational impact on the local community.
