WORLD COMMUNION SUNDAY
October 6, 2019 10:00 A.M.
Welcome to the Preakness Reformed Church!
“St. Paul reminds discouraged believers of all times and places that we are not called to “succeed,” but rather to keep the faith. And God’s powerful and presence is always there to inspire us as we strive to present a compelling alternative to all the cheap tricks and silly slogans out there.” –Alan Brehm

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
God of love and mercy, at times we believe that we live in an uncertain world. Time and time again we turn to people who promise us security and the meaning of life.
Our hearts wander far from you. Help us turn to you, because you are the source of every blessing. Forgive us when we are wrong in our actions and in our thoughts. Renew within us a spirit of love and commitment to follow Jesus…
(Silent prayers of confession.)

Prayers Around the Table ……concluding with the Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts,
as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom,
and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.
